Adult Group Online Mandarin Lesson
Beginner
- Level 1 (3 months)
- Level 2 (3 months)
Mandarin Speaking Level 1 & 2 are the most basic Mandarin course which suitable for those with total zero knowledge in Mandarin. It will be a lecture-based and interactive two-way sessions whereby Mandarin will be taught in English and ‘pinyin’. Mandarin Level 2 is the continuation of Mandarin Level 1. At the end of the course, students will be able to learn 600 new words and handle 12 situations in Mandarin.
Mandarin Writing Level 1 & 2 are suitable for those in Level 4 Speaking but unable to write at all. This elementary course will focus on Chinese characters – Strokes. Adults will also be introduced to 200 most commonly used Chinese characters including pronunciation, shape and meaning.
Intermediate
- Level 3 (4 months)
- Level 4 (4 months)
Mandarin Speaking Level 3 & 4 are the continuation of Mandarin Level 1 & 2. It will be a lecture-based and interactive two-way sessions whereby Mandarin will be taught in English and ‘pinyin’. At the end of the course, students will be able to learn 1000 new words, chat on a large range of topics and converse relatively fluently with native Chinese speakers.
Mandarin Writing Level 3 & 4 are suitable for those who are able to read and write basic Mandarin. Various writing tasks related to the reading topic will be provided whereby the texts and instructions are written entirely in Chinese characters. Adults will be introduced to 1200 characters.
Advanced
- Level 5 (6 months)
- Level 6 (6 months)
Mandarin Speaking Level 5 & 6 are the continuation of Mandarin Level 3 & 4. It will be a lecture-based and interactive two-way sessions whereby Mandarin will be taught in English and ‘pinyin’. At the end of the course, students will be able to learn 2500 new words, 5000 vocabulary words, have a good mastery of Chinese grammar and be able to speak Mandarin fluently.
